About
I live in Norfolk, near King’s Lynn, in the house that I grew up in. After working in industry for many years I realised a long held dream to study art and as a mature student took a foundation course at Norwich art school where I focused on sculpted forms, found objects and the play of light and shadow.
After art school I set off on a 16 year sailing adventure with my husband Tony, in Scandinavia, the Mediterranean and North Africa.
In 2015, living once again in Norfolk I was able to devote more time to painting. My work has included landscape, seascape and still life. Painting in acrylic and using collage and printing, my work is focused on colour and light.
I continue to be inspired by light, by the natural world and by the moods of colour. I like to paint what I am excited by, be it a beautiful sunset over the sea, an interesting corner of my home or garden or a simple loved possession.
I have shown my work in group exhibitions with the West Norfolk Artists, Norfolk Creative Arts and I am a member of the Greyfriars art group in King’s Lynn where some of my paintings are exhibited at the old Customs House.
